Follow these simple steps to create a delightful Chicken Sausage and Broccoli Pasta:

  1. Cook the Pasta:
    • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Broccoli:
    • In the last 3-4 minutes of the pasta cooking time, add the broccoli florets to the boiling water with the pasta. This will blanch the broccoli, making it tender-crisp. Drain along with the pasta and set aside.
  3. Cook the Chicken Sausage:
    • In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Sautรฉ the Garlic:
    • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sautรฉ for about 1 minute until fragrant.
